We understand that Pedia Manor may or may not be the right fit for you and your child, but we do believe that every child with special needs deserves the highest quality of care available. Pedia Manor offers the finest in skilled medical care. We will review any referral we receive, however, our mission is to serve children with complex medical needs, and provide top-notch medical care as well as a wonderful environment for them.
Pedia Manor’s staff also consists of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and a Speech Therapist. We also have a Registered Dietician, and a Child Life Specialist. Our aim is to provide children with the best possible environment in which to grow.
Pedia Manor’s Medical Director is a Pediatric Pulmonologist from A. I. DuPont Hospital for children – Louis H. Guernsey M.D. He visits our children weekly, and is available by phone. A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Nancy Fickert, CRNP supplements Dr. Guernsey’s visits. Both are on call for problems and emergencies 24 hrs/7days a week. When Dr. Guernsey is not available, one of his associates from A. I. duPont’s Pulmonology department will take on-call
Yes. Pedia Manor encourages parents and family to participate and visit as much as possible without restrictions.
Yes. Children are placed in appropriate age programs through the local Intermediate Units beginning at age three. Depending on the child, schooling may take place at an off-site location or at Pedia Manor.
